Three local high school students attended the seventh annual Southwest Pennsylvania Area Health Education Center July 13-17. The week long academy, held at the University of Pittsburgh, is a program designed to expose high school students interested in a health career to various aspects of medicine, and related fields.

Ohio man charged in assaults, theft

An Ohio man was scheduled to be arraigned today on charges of robbery, simple assault, retail theft and harassment after he allegedly used pepper spray on Wal-Mart employees and a customer Friday during an attempt to steal cameras from the Hilltop Plaza store.
