Anchors weigh in New KSTP anchors talk about their jobs and the Twin Cities

In mid-May there were some shakeups at KSTP-TV, Channel 5, that included the addition of a couple of new anchors - Bill Lunn, a former Duluth reporter/anchor who most recently worked at WMC-TV in Memphis, Tenn., and Megan Newquist, a California native whose last job was with WTVQ-TV in Lexington, Ky.

atleast Lunn recognizes that there's been alot of turnover at channel 5. What he doesn't realize is that he's next. It's not the anchors Mr. Hubbard. You've had some good ones. Sometimes you just have to be patient. Viewers like familiarity. That's why the stations at the top have had the same people for years and years. It's not the guys in suits and the cute blondes that make a newscast. Everybody knows Dave Dahl. Why? You've had him doing weather for years!

They seem to be fine. I would start watching kstp again if I didn't have to watch leah mclean. No offense but as a newsperson she should keep her opinons to herself. You can really tell she extremely liberal and I should not know that.
I just want the news.

I have to admit I was skeptical about both of these new anchors at first, but really like them now. Bill and Megan should be anchoring the main newscasts together. Bill has the right attitude and delivery. Megan is a natural with a self-assured presence. Leah may be nice in person, but it seems artificial and forced on-air. She and Bill lack chemistry. The new set with all of the blue is distracting to me--I can't watch it for too long before switching back to KARE-11.

I will for sure watch this Megan Newquist gal. She is a hot babe. Time to get a hot blonde woman in the news anchor sit. Get rid of that Leah M gal, I just could not stand her. She is such a fake.

Megan Newquist should be Hubbards top anchor. She is not only hot to look at, but I like her delivery. Leah is pretty, but so mechanical and robotic on the air.
