One person was killed and two injured in two separate Kansas crashes on Monday in which a vehicle attempted to turn in front of a passing car, the Kansas Highway Patrol reported on its online crash log.

Col. Jeffery Jordan, 47, was eastbound on State Street on a Kawasaki motorcycle about 5 p.m. Wednesday when a Cadillac pulled out in front of him at the Interstate Highway 135 exit, according to a Saline County Sheriffa s Office report.

They were injured Wednesday afternoon when the minivan they were riding in collided with a loaded grain truck two miles north of Westfall.
