Parents crucial to keeping kids safe on way to Washoe schools

Although the disappearance and death of a 7-year-old Orange Park, Fla., girl abducted while walking home from school gave many parents a new opportunity to talk to their children about do's and don'ts going to and from school, the issue of safe passage is much broader, local experts said.
