New KOEZ life for old school

The Panther Valley School Board approved Adam Webber's request Tuesday to extend the KOEZ status of the old Panther Valley Middle School property with a vote of 5-3. Director Anthony DeMarco was not present at the special meeting.

carbon Courthouse renovations to begin soon

Renovations to the Carbon County Courthouse in Jim Thorpe will soon begin. During the county commissioners' meeting on Thursday, the board voted to award five of six contracts for the renovation project, which will cost more than $1.1 million to complete.
