City braces for job loss

Philips Products, a maker of doors and windows, will close its Stayton plant, putting 125 people out of work, company officials announced June 3. The move is part of Philips Products' plan to close plants nationwide, which will add as many as 625 workers in six states to the ranks of the unemployed.
