A 17-year-old driver from Strathmore was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence after a solo-vehicle crash that injured two passengers early Saturday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.

While the first reaction is to save a tree from removal, sometimes that tree has got to be removed to save lives.

In Tulare County an investigation is underway following an officer involved shooting.

The driver did not stop when the officer tried to pull him over, police said. The officer followed the vehicle out of the city and saw items being thrown out, Tulare Sgt.
