Webster County sales tax effective .....

Beginning today, Webster County consumers will see a slightly higher sales tax. Rates on items subjected to sales tax have increased from 6.5 to 7 percent - or 7 cents on every dollar spent.

Utility rate increases haven't missed residents of the town of Stratford, as city council members there recently approved ordinances that will increase water and sewer rates In the new ordinances, sewer rates will increase $5 per 1,000 gallons.
