While Rios is freed from murder charges... he definitely qualifies for Involuntary Manslaughter as his action (chasing the victim) directly cause his death... I am sure all 50 teens where friends of Rios or his Gang Pals..... I hope DA retries himself and lock him up. No One has the right to take justice in his own hands.... This is a civilized country and whether they like it or not a civilized city.....

I do not see how this jury found him not guily of any charge. The facts the Ct Post stated were definately wrong there were not 50 people chasing anyone their were only maybe at most 9 people there at the fight the 50 people congregated after the fight. But Elvin lied about not having a knife and then clearly stated he had the knife that night and that he forgot about it and the witness stated she saw him with the knife and stab scott. So for the jury to find him not guilty on all accounts is a disgrace. He will be judged when his time comes and he has to live with himself. Nothing will bring Scott back and this guy was certainly not his friend. His so called true friends will also have to live with their actions as well as they just left thier "friend" to die and ran away.If they were his true friends they would have came forward and told the truth regardless. RIP Scott

Second, Rios and the man (boy) killed along without many others were chasing a different man. The kid kille was not being chased - hew was doing the chasing.

Scott was fight along with Elvin and was stabbed in the mix. You do the math..

This writer must have been at a different trial. During his testimony Mr Torres said he had already confessed in court to stealing the car. So it was not a "belief" on Mr. Rios' part, it was a fact. Mr. Torres also said he was home when the 5 or 6 "men" came up to his porch. One person then pulled him off the porch and he was fighting with the "men" when Mr Nishball was stabbed. As for the woman who testified, she did not live in the house on Stillman street she lived in a house on the corner of Stillman and Hays and saw the fight from a window. I feel for all parties involved, but think the writer should at least get his facts straight.

RIP Scott The witness was looking through a window from several feet away 10 p.m. on an October night when it would have been dark. Meantime, there was a melee going on with up to 9 men fighting. All this, and she said she was able to see Elvin and Torres lying on their sides on the ground. Elvin who was swinging a knife(one of two in evidence) at Torres. She said from this position he accidentally stabbed Scott in the back. Seems like it would be hard for Elvin to do and for her to see the actual stabbing.

He intended to stab someone. Transferred intent. SA's office should be ashamed and embarassed. Fifty people and he couldn't convince the jury? And Elvin, outside of the funeral home at Scott's wake, obviously felt "guilty" about something. What a fake Elvin, man up.

Besides its over now and none of this will bring him back. Like I said before they all have to live with what they have done.

Well it's funny how everyones is saying, he just remain in jail because he has done something in the past and for those who do say they saw... sad for you guys, if you people actually read any of the papers or read the story correct, he was found not guilty of any charge because there wasen't any or significance of Rios DNA on any of the weapons, for those who are currently filled with ignorence and think you're God and know it all, sorry for your bubble to be burst.

It was still dark. Also, your comments don't agree with the testimony given in court. If you knew so much why didn't you testify. Yes, nothing will bring Scott back. God willing, all of the parties involved will realize that it could have been any one of them who was killed. I pray that they will wake up and stop this cycle of vengence and fighting. Do it in honor of Scott. Please set a good example for the younger generation and don't repeat this kind of behavior.
