Medical examiner confirms James 'Jake' Hoffman died of smoke inhalation in Amherst fire
While the cause of the Jan. 21 fire at the Rolling Green apartments that killed Jake "James" Hoffman is still under investigation, the state Medical Examiner's office has confirmed that the cause of death was smoke inhalation.
