Man, Possibly Off-Duty Cop, Killed In Accident
Police in northwest suburban Melrose Park refuse to comment on reports that an off-duty Stone Park police officer was killed in an accident involving a motorcycle and an SUV on Wednesday afternoon.
A man in his 30s was killed in an accident involving a motorcycle and an SUV at at 2033 N. Mannheim Rd., according to a spokesman for the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.
The man's name is being withheld pending family notification, the spokesman said. Pronouncement information was not immediately available. Read more
