Jones sentencing set for July 1
Following a jury trial at Grangeville last week, Steven P. Jones, 29, of Stites was found guilty of felony domestic battery and traumatic injury.
Sandie Daeges of Stites and Arlene Thomas of Kamiah have partnered to create a special lap quilt that has been donated to the Kamiah Kiwanis Club for auction at the annual Buttermilk Festival on May 4. The Kiwanis and Clearwater Progress sponsor the annual event with proceeds going to support the Club and the Kiwanis Children's Cancer Program.
Comedy show recognizes veterans
But Saturday's won't be about any of that, said Jon Stites, one of the organizers and comics of "Operation Comedy." The point of the show, a four-year national comedy tour, is to give veterans a low-key, fun night with their loved ones, honoring them and making it free for them to attend.
