Growing up, Adam Charles Peterson was introverted and shy often relying on his twin brother Eric to make friends and socialize when the pair attended Stillwater High, his father said.

Agreed!! The proof-reader (and anyone else who could have seen this before print) must be on vacation. Is Shannon Prather trying to tell the whole story in one headline? Why bother writing the story?

Its amazing how quick people rush to make excuses for this suburb (white male)kid. News Flash Murder Is Murder is murder! When things like this happend in the Black community. No one makes excuses for us. They blame our parents, They say we deserve what we got, they say he must have been a Gang-banger... In referance to this Stillwater Murderer. Words like shy and introverted are used. He mustve been of his meds... Another News Flash...He's Guilty!

Nothing is Black & White. I am not AMAZED. Pioneer Press might Just be offering Journalism Classes to offset the low subscibtion activity and the advertising slump. Fourth,the guy is not Guilty until he goes before a Judge and a Jury amazed! This is not T.V. or whatever you read in the paper is True. Just look at the scource?

NOBODY brought up "innocent until proven guilty" in any of the posts responding to the story yesterday about the illegal immigrant woman who is charged with killing the school kids on a bus with her car. No DNA on the airbag, and her defense attorney says she wasn't driving. Because she's Hispanic, people make entirely different judgments and assume she's guilty.

Amazed and Runner are the only honest people on this comment thread so far.

I also notice a collective SILENCE from the usual suspects who post after every black, hispanic or asian crime story.

Your first and last sentences are demonstrably false, and the middle one is just parroting the defense attorney. The thread over there is still going strong, why do you need to hump your confused lies on other threads.

Are you suggesting the drugs made them do it? Don't forget for a second that there was a reason they were put on drugs. Than you might ask "Than why don't he people that are depressed but not on drugs commit murders" - simple answer, they problems are medically as severe.

You have a problem. The problem comes from the fact that objetive reporting tells a story that you don't want to hear. Any skin tone on this kid would have generated the same story considering all other things he same. Don't tell me the bus killing last year was the same! THere was video footage of the kid doing it. To DATE, there is no video footage of the kid doing it. I do agree, the kid seems guilty unless there is some real good explanation for his DNA in there.

Not true - people make judgments on what the media told us - now that facts that contradict what the media told us are coming out, we are of course slow to embrace them. P.S. Arguing in the negative, meaning arguing that because something wasn't said means someone agrees or confirms what the other was thinking IS STUPID.

Well Remeber your words and take your own advise the next time a you read a headline about something that took place in our community. Ive been reading for quite sometime now and I am disgusted at some people demonize VICTIMS in the non white communities. I would love to live in a country where one could be respected and not judged by ones skin color... America We've come a long way. But alot of you still have lot of spiritaul growing up to do....

I personal have an interest in this event and it is the first time in eons I have read and have never responded to the comments before. Seems someone always plays the race card. It sure doesn't appear race has anything to do with this situation why is it being talked about on this forum?

Part of my comment was a satrical attempt to mimic the white community when a non-white commits a crime... The Part where I said He's Guilty and a Murderer. As an American I understand that youre innocent until proven otherwise. Im GLAD you think that its stupid to Judge people without all the Facts. MISSION ACOMPLISHED !!!
