i worked with this man, he was a very nice, kind, loving man. but he had a drinking problem so our company had laid him off about 3 months ago. they had told him if he sobered up that they'd promise him his job back full time.

it's funny because the news doesn't tell the full story. Darcy had called his brother and told him to call the police and to tell them he'd be waiting on doorstep. it's really too bad, i never met his wife. but i do know that she was leaving the next day. i do not know why she was leaving... but between driking, having his wife leave, and being layed off i think he must've cracked

I knew them both and Darcy was violent drunk and a creep who treated his wife like crap and was too immature to allow her to have a life without him. She was about to leave him and start over and he knew she would be happy and successful once she left him and, as she was paying all the bills, he couldn't take it the humiliation.

Blaming it on the fact that he did indeed spend everyday of his unemployed life drinking, and saying he "cracked" does NOT justify what he did to her as you seem to imply. He is cold-blooded killer plain and simple and he needs to be put away forever because he WILL hurt someone else.

I worked with Darcy too. He ran hot and cold. He put up a good front and appeared to be a nice guy. The reality was he was kind of a jerk much of the time. He had the mill fooled into thinking he was more talented than he really was. All the loser had to do was show up for work and he couldn't do that. He was a lazy, lying, whining drunken loser and was getting worse over the last few years. He never performed the job he was handed and the rest of the crew wiped his butt as he whined, lied and failed miserably at his job. He was given WAY more chances than he deserved. He needs to be locked up for life. It's too bad his wife had to tolerate his dysfunctional, screwed up ways unil the selfish punk snapped. Hope they hang the drunken idiot.
