Man charged with murder in Steeleville woman's death
Michael D. Roye, 29, was arrested Friday and charged with the murder of Casey R. Morgan, 26, of Steelville.
Steeleville police found Morgan's body in her home after responding to a call before 8 a.m., said Lt. Steve Shields of the Illinois State Police investigations department in Du Quoin.
State police, the Randolph and Perry counties' sheriff's departments and the Randolph County coroner joined Steeleville police at the scene, where they all conducted an investigation. Roye was arrested in Steeleville later that evening. Read more
