THURSDAY Social Club The Lincoln County Social Club will meet 2-4 p.m. at the Citizens Center in Lincolnton.

A recreation director selling peanuts, community members organizing yard and bake sales, games, raffles and golf tournaments and the generosity of two special benefactors made Stanley first community park possible.

Malcolm Rashad Thompson, 21, of 163 Hillcrest Dr. in Lincolnton was charged May 9 with one felony count of statutory rape/sex offense of a 13-, 14- or 15-year-old by a defendant six years older.
