So proud of you, Francisco!
'Last Thursday, De la Serna was fulfilling one of the mundane duties of a medic: handing out medical records at the Soldier Readiness Processing Center, part of a post-deployment health assessment of his battalion, which returned from Iraq at the beginning of June. De la Serna had been sitting outside the processing center on a box of records when the sound of shots rang out from inside the building. He quickly found cover behind trees about 200 feet away as bystanders scattered. From the tree line, De la Serna saw wounded people pouring out of the processing center. He then retrieved his medical bag, which he always keeps in his car, just in case — and headed toward the center. “He was out of harm’s way,” said Miles, 30.“He was out of danger, and he went right back in there.” De la Serna admitted that he was scared. He told his brother that he thought his life was over. “I’m not going to say I wasn’t tempted to run, because I was,” De la Serna said. But something took over. “We’re trained to react a certain way,” he said.“And, thankfully, I was able to react the right way.” Miles said the first person De la Serna treated had suffered a gunshot wound to the leg. The bullet had gone through and was protruding from the back of the victim’s leg. De la Serna took the bullet out, dressed the leg and took the man to cover. Then he went back. About the same time, Sgt. Kimberly Munley, a civilian police officer at the post, arrived. Army officials have said she and the gunman exchanged fire. The New York Times reported today, however, that another witness credited Senior Sgt. Mark Todd for bringing the gunman down.' |

Thank you for re-writing this article about the
courageous act of the young man from St, Marys. I salute him for his bravery, and thank him for doing what he did. We certainly need more like him. Again, thank you both. |

I did not 'rewrite' anything. I only posted articles that newspapers provided via the internet and pasted some of the information, which btw, the school he went to is only offensive to YOU. I'm sure it didn't even matter to anyone else. |

1 Pardon me, but you DID re-write, or edit your first blog, thus removing the name of the unaccredited school this boy went to. I find most everything about the SSPX 'offensive', as they are a cult, and I will do whatever I can to make people realize this. Whatever, the important thing is, that this young man did the right thing at the right time, and I salute him for this. |

1 No, I won't pardon you. You're mistaken. The first article, which I happened to post a response to (with a quote from their article) which was printed by WIBW and written by one of their authors, not myself. I only quoted the author's written words, which you found offensive. Really you should complain to the author of the article.....(even though your complaints is pretty pathetic). I wrote NO 'blog'. I only posted a reply to a news article. Another news source, KansasCity.com , also was posted here and written by another author, not myself, and I replied to it with my comments. I made no 'edit' of anything. |

Just exactly who/what is SSPX? Have read other posts on other sites, and find that there is much controversy about it. Cannot understand why on earth anyone would allow their family to be governed and controlled by what appears to be a sect? Also, who in their right mind would have such large families? Seems one or two children
would be enough to have to support in these times. Just curious. By the way, this Trish person is very rude and needs to learn some manners. |
