With the exception of those who need to resort to the absentee ballot to vote (i.e., military personnel who are stationed outside of their home voting district), voters should vote on Election Day. The idea of early voting is a bad one, panders to those who really have no legitimate reasons for any special early voting priveleges and worst of all, gives the advantage to the wrong candidates. I wonder if I'm the only one who changed his mind on a candidate between the start of the campaign and Election Day? If your vote is that important, then you should make sure that you make it to the polls on Election Day.

Hand writing on the wall. Low turnout means special interest have the advantage. So that means to me watch out for manipulations and distractions. If you vote just to make a statement that vote may be wasted on someone you really do not want.

I see this complaint mainly from Republicans. The only people who have the patience to stand in line for 3 hours to cast the vote are retired people who in Georgia are mostly white republicans. So it is natural for Republicans to cry foul. Many "other " types of voters that are refused voting rights due to clerical errors or "surprise" deletion from voting lists can have their status restored in time for the deadline. There is absolutely no reason to complain about early voting that has shown to increase participation, reduce wait time/ stress and allow smoother business hours. The only reason to complain is that the voters may not be Republican! This whining by the GOP supporters is laughable and disgusting!

And just how did you decide this was a "complaint"? Some people with an agenda latch on to any excuse to make statements that somehow include "racist" accusations. You really had to dig deep to come up with this one. Get a JOB!!!

Yeah Why is it a bad idea? Anyone give an explanation? It is purely a racist idea to oppose early voting. Early voting increases participation which is a bad thing for GOP. Have you ever found anyone thats opposed to early voting thats not a republican leaning voter? Read the first point... the guy is a whiner!

Early voting just allows the liberals extra time to go shopping for druggies, bums, and homeless democrat votes. Simple but true.

Why can't you get ACORN to get everyone there on one day vice 14?

Sounds to me like you are calling the kettle black, check the stats.

Man is it 2010 yet?

Where have you been? Locked in a jar? The Liberals didn't win, the Socialist WON. So enjoy it while you can because it won't last.
