Police jury sets 25-year limit on levy

I understand that the police jury, Billy Shoemake Presidnet and Ken Dawson Vice President, are going to have the tax passed and bond the revenue for 25 years to put a water line down by Tembec? All for the comprehensive plan? WASTEFUL. And this comes on the heels of Ambrose Sims giving the police jury employees $135,000.00 A YEAR PAY INCREASE? WHAT IS GOING ON AT THE WEST FELICIANA PARISH POLICE JURY?

By the way I know more about the police jury and port commission than Ken Dawson since I am a memebr of the Port Commission and we are going to get some money from the new sales tax in November.

I cannot understand why the Police Jury needs more money. They cannot manage how they spend it now. Ambrose and the 'crew' have large expense accounts that are unaccounted for and the jury allows them to 'spend at will'. WHAT A WASTE.

Good Lord...yet ANOTHER dumb post. Every penny the P.J. spends is public record. This, dumb ass, is required by law. Now you may not agree with how they spend it as I certainly don't in many instances, but there is no such thing as "unaccounted for" or having the ability to "spend at will".

Franklin, sounds like you have an inside account of what's going in the Police Jury office. I am sure someone will make a public records request in the near future and the Police Jury will deny it and the judge will have to order them to disclose as the jury has done in the last year. Why would the police Jury wilfully deny to grant a public records request? I guess you should know more before you pop off your fat ass mounh, oh I'm sorry fat ass fingers.
I cannot understand why the Police Jury has not filed their annual audit yet either. Maybe you can tell us that too? Your fat ass fingers seem to have all the answers.

Looks like you should go back to dumb a** school and graduate. The jury has not filed or directed the auditors to file it but requested another extension like they did in the past. WHY? WHAT ARE THEY HIDING? You should check your facts before you type.

You should check your fingers before you type dumb a**. I beleive you said in post 13 that the auditors file because they are retained and paid, right? The audit is required by law and the police jury did request another extension as they did last year. The poilce jury has to ask for the extension from the Legislative Auditor’s Office. Franklin, looks like you have no answer for Oscar the Orkin Man's #13 post. Noone really expected you to come through with any real information. I am so sad you don't care Ambrose and the Crew are 'spending' at will which will cost our parish for years. I know you are going to pull the 'yes' lever for the tax and that makes me sadder. After all your posts I would consider you’re the only person who could stand up for JUSTICE AND OPPOSE THE NEEDLESS TAX.
YOU ARE BEGINNING TO BE A DISAPPOINTMENT TO THIS SITE AND IF you cannot help with the cause (defeating the tax and holding the jurors responsible for the financial condition of the parish) then you should direct your attention to a different site, you know something that deals with criticizing nursing homes.
