Riverfest gets started in St. Albans

St. Albans Riverfest, the city's annual riverfront extravaganza, kicked off Thursday with a singing competition - the festival's take on "American Idol." Riverfest has been a tradition for 15 years, and this weekend up to 70,000 people are expected to participate in the free festivities, held along the Kanawha River at Roadside Park.
