Springhill woman, 78, killed in morning crash
At around 8:30 a.m., today, state police were called to a single vehicle crash on U.S. 371 north of Louisiana Highway 2. According to reports, Annette Drew, 55, of Cullen was traveling south in a 1995 Chevrolet Suburban when the SUV ran off the right side of the road and hit an oak tree in the front yard of a residence.

Springhill woman busted for drugs
A Springhill narcotics dealer is incarcerated at Bayou Dorcheat Correctional Center following her arrest by the North Webster Drug Task Force.
After being accused of bartering with a client in exchange for drugs, a Louisiana bail bondsman has been arrested following an undercover operation.
