Local Government Funds Reduced-NC Questions County's Alternative Formula

Officials from the City of New Carlisle attended Clark County's Public Budget Commission meeting held Wednesday, August 27 prepared to voice their concerns on the county's formula for Local Government Fund distribution, only to be told that they would be receiving even less than originally estimated just a few weeks ago. New Carlisle City Manager Kim Jones, along with New Carlisle Finance Director Colleen Harris attended the Budget Commission last Wednesday held at the County Auditor's office in downtown Springfield.

Family members of the little boys killed in a murder-suicide in Springfield have set up a memorial fund to help pay for their funeral expenses. Shawn Crable is the uncle of Daylan, 7, and Ayden Johnson, 10. The boys were shot to death by their mother inside their home Wednesday morning.
