Ponca City man dies in collision with semi
A Ponca City man is dead after crashing his pickup truck head-on into a tractor-trailer rig in Kay County.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says Dean Randall Godfrey died in the collision on U.S. Highway 77 near Newkirk about 9:30 Thursday night.
Troopers say Godfrey was southbound when he crossed the center line and crashed into the semi.
The driver of the semi is hospitalized in Wichita, Kansas, in stable condition with internal injuries. Read more
