Storms stay at bay for a local favorite

On Saturday, members of the Brielle Fire Department, including Derrick Ward [from left], Gary Pstrak, Joe Harriman, Steve Speicher, Joe Kerrigan and Chief Rod Zarelli, were getting ready to prepare their famous sandwiches, made from an estimated 500 pounds of roast beef that the fire department cooks and slices. The fire company also offered attendees a beer and wine garden, fire truck rides and more.
