Fifty dogs seized from a Spout Spring woman became the property of Appomattox County after a judge ruled Wednesday that they were not being properly cared for.

According to a news release issued by the countya s public information officer, Vicky Phelps, 49 dogs were taken from a kennel at 1669 Double Bridges Road.
