I guess if you're from Huntsville, Alabama it makes the most sense to say Sparta.

The "DeRossett" community IS considered "Sparta" by the Post Office, as well as most other communities in White County (Bon Air, Ravenscroft, Eastland, Clifty, Yankeetown, Hampton's Crossroads, etc).

What does that have to do with the price of tea in China? It does not matter what the freaking Post Office does, the point is, you won"t find this museum in "Sparta". There may actually be people in this county that would think it is in Sparta.

The Railroad Museum in DeRossett is having an open house today, Saturday, November 14 from 1 PM to 4 PM, and all are welcome. Admission is free and there will be hot cider and cookies for all. It's at the corner of Coal Bank Rd and RT 70. Why don't you stop by and meet members of the Bon Air Historical Society and see the outstanding work they did to restore this historic site! They would love to have you visit!

It's part of the coal miner's history on Bon Air Mountain, but it is a restored Railroad section house.
DeRossett was known as a railroad town in the late 1800's delivering merchandise, mining supplies, mail, and payroll to DeRossett, Bon Air, Eastland, Clifty, and Ravenscroft.
Section houses were built for the crew. Two families lived in the building that has been restored by the historical society.
Go there and find out all the details. It's free and open to the public. It's a great part of White County. It's open Thursdays from 9 AM to 12 Noon, and Friday and Saturday from 9 AM to 4 PM. Artifacts and furnishing are there as they would have been in 1900.

Follow your instincts today, particularly if they lead you towards creative activities or they tell you to pour your heart out to someone. You might also get the Cancerian urge to be fully protective, even more so if the object of your concern is not feeling well at the moment. If you're at work, something strange but wonderful could happen with a colleague. What does it all mean?
