from the family ......
We are in Atlanta at the rehab center. They have already started physical therapy. Bryan is still hurting and sore but he is such a trooper. He is trying very hard. He was able to try out his wheelchair today. Sitting up for two hours I know was tough but he did well. The doctor came to see us today and they think Bryan's halo can come off in 6 or 7 weeks. Thank you to everyone for all your prayers, we still have long way to go but all the support has helped so much.

Crowns for a Cause raised $1140 for Bryan and his family. The people in Sparta came out like you wouldn't believe! Thank you to everyone who contributed. Especially Ashlee, Cassie, Bell, Tosha, and Lindsey who braved the cold and rain to help make it happen!

Bryan had a pretty good day today, they changed his medicine and it seemed to help. Gary and Brenda (bryan'parents) brought Nick and Garrison down to spend the weekend and that has helped Bryan and I a lot. Next week we will begin classes on
home care for Bryan. If nothing changes we will be able to come home around the 30th. We will be home for 2 or 3 weeks while some of Bryan's injuries heal and back to Sherpherd for 6 to 8 weeks. Shepherd is a fantastic place, we could not ask for any better care. Thank you for all the support, God bless and we love you all.

Update from Bryan's Journal......
Bryan had a pretty good day today. They are still having a hard time controlling his pain, so today they put him on a pain patch hopefully this will help. But he is still improving. His blood work came back great today and they have stopped the breathing treatments. The doctor said his lungs sound great. Finally some good news.
Bryan was up in his chair for a good 6 hours today, we toured around the building. He is having physical therapy, occupational therapy, and we have hands on nurse training, so they are keeping our days pretty full. I think that is helping both of us.
Bryan wanted me to tell everyone thank you for all the prayers and support it means so much to both of us. God bless and we love you all.

Update from Hatmaker Family

Journal Sunday, November 1, 2009 8:37 AM,
We made it home Friday evening. Feels great to be home. Nick was so proud to be home with us I think he told Bryan and I he loved us 30 times each before we went to sleep. He is so sweet.
Bryan is still pretty uncomfortable with the back pain, but he is doing ok. We exercise his legs and arms every morning then he sits up in his wheelchair most of the day. He moves around some but it is still really painful. It takes around 2 hours in the morning to help him get ready for the day and the same to put him in his hospital bed at night. He has come a long way and we are so proud of him.
We appreciate all the prayers, visits, calls, and support it means alot. We will continue to keep everyone updated on this site through out Bryan's long recovery. God bless and we love you all.

Daily Horoscope for December 27

Scorpio

If you haven't seen certain people during the past few days, how about inviting them over for a drink or a meal? You're feeling sociable and will enjoy doing some light entertaining although you'll draw the line at anything too strenuous. It's a lovely day for being in familiar surroundings with some familiar faces, even if all you do is flop on the sofa.
