Gary Lee Baird, 52, of Southside, W.Va., died Saturday, April 13, 2013, at Pleasant Valley Hospital in Point Pleasant, W.Va. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at Hambrick Church in Southside, W.Va., with Pastor Bert Flora officiating.

Artwork on a Mason County barn has been chosen to represent West Virginia in the new American Quilt Trail Redwork Kit by needlework designer The Posy Collection.

Neatta is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Mullins of Southside, W.Va. She is a graduate of Gallipolis Business College with an associate degree in Medical Office Administration and is employed by Lakin Correctional Center.

According to the criminal complaint filed in Mason County Magistrate Court, Timothy H. Nelson, 31, Southside, has been charged with operate or attempt to operate a clandestine drug lab by the Mason County Sheriff's Department.

Born at 9:19 p.m. on Jan. 4, 2013, Aiden Issac Atwood came into the world and was recognized as the first baby of 2013 at Pleasant Valley Hospital.
