May 23rd was the 10th anniversary of the Owen Hart tragedy when he fell from the roof the Kemper Arena in Kansas City during a WWE (it was the WWF in 1999) pay-per-view as he tried to make a superhero entrance as the Blue Blazer. I remember watching the show and they kept showing crowd shots and NOT the ring area. The Newark (NJ) Star-Ledger always has a this day in history along with celeb birthdays but in the 5/23/2009 edition, they mentioned something else that happened on that day instead of Owen's death.
