Code Blue called for Pennridge EMS plan
Plans for a Pennridge area regional ambulance company have been scrapped, prompting a number of towns in that part of Bucks County to fall back on Plan B: negotiating for services from existing squads.
Officials who pushed for a regional organization as a way to replace failed squads based in Dublin and Perkasie insist the concept could have worked, but they say lack of interest and financial concerns foiled it.
''There wasn't as much support when you got right down to it as we thought in the beginning,'' said Eleanor Sadorf, Dublin's manager, adding her borough had been willing to go ''all the way'' with the proposal. Read more
