School Stuff Submitted by Dianne Regnier on 2009-10-23.   Students at The Grammar School at Somersville received a very special visit from their adopted eagle, Skywalker on the very day they were celebrating their school's founding roots.

Mrs. Marni Strachan's third grade class received a lesson in diversity and multicultural heritage while listening to handmade drums and songs sung in the Penobscot native language while learning about the Native American traditions of living as one with the earth.

Parks & Recreation Submitted by Rexford Joffray on 2009-09-11.   On Friday, September 4th about 250 people -- a record attendance -- joined members of the Scantic River Watershed Association for their fourth annual full moon paddle.
