Why does a city the size of Walmart need so many officers? How many officers do we have now? I keep hearing how our city is in the red and they employ so many officers for this tiny little city? I live in the city of Burnside and would like to know their excuse for this unnecessary hiring of new officers for this littly bitty city.

The main reason for so many officers is the sad fact that so many people bred like flies , dumped their kids on society , now we have to pay for protection from your and everyone elses mistakes - In other words , the crime rate - Sorry for the rant and rave but , it's the truth - God forgive me -It's started out to be a bad day -

There is no way that a police force the size that we have even NOW with the new addition is able to police the crime we have. There is a little thing called "shifts" which these officers work. Divide that by the number of officers we have as opposed to the hours in a week and you've got your answer. I congratulate the city for the addition of a new officer. I wish him well and welcome him to the force. It's nothing but a positive move in my book. Now, if they only had jurisdiction in Antioch Shores.........

The highest crime areas are outside the limits of burnside.Such as Tateville/Antioch and burnside can't touch them. It's county. I live here in the city of Burnside. Of course there's crime but what is all this crime that you are talking about?I think SPD ends up having to take care of all of it for them anyway and guide them through on how to handle a real crime.

I don't have children so you will have to make up something else. How much breeding are you guilty of?

Quite a bit - Had a few problems , but the cops were always there to point out where I was lacking in parental skills - Thank God mine are all grown and taking care of their own kid problems - This is becoming a difficult world to raise kids in - We always need more cops - The good kind -

WRONG WRONG WRONG. I've had the pleasure of dealing the with county police when I needed a help out here. You can't tell me that they are johnny on the spot. It's been a wasted call from the get go on all three occasions. County could care less about Antioch Shores. I've even been spoken to with the most condescending attitude I've ever encountered by dispatch. It's a waste of time once they find out you're in Antioch Shores. Your call is met with a heavy sigh...

Burnside police have no jurisdiction in antioch? That is just plain stupid not to let burnside police handle calls from antioch. It is so close by and they make people of antioch wait for county to come out!! Something needs to be done about that.

No one is willing to come in here to take the trash out. That is our problem! You tell me ONE thing that has been done up here that has had any affect on our crime. One thing. Tell me about one single person who has been rounded up and it lead to more people being brought down. Tell me about one person who has done the time in jail that they deserved to be serving. We have trailers burning down left and right. No arrests. We have drug dealers making a very lucrative business up here. No arrests. Bootleggers selling every day and night of the week. No arrests. We have NUMEROUS code violations on these vacant mobile homes. No citations. It like they're just hoping that Antioch will eventually slide off into the river.

burnside police dept has jurisdiction in the ho county if the mayor had balls and said to his chief take care of business and patrol the 3mi radius of the city but take care of city first then they would solve a lot of crimes and put alot in jail the only time burnside had balls was when david moss was an officer there he patrol antioch bend of lakes and tateville but he had help too the ksp was always around we he worked here but now he and the ksp are all gone it takes 5 full time officers to provide 24 hr protection and burnside doesnt seem to b able to hold on to 5 at one time but under the right mayor and a strong chief burnside could rock in the line of police work the have a good chief now but if your scared of ur job u cant do good work moss wasnt scared to stand up for good police work work with all agencies and stop crime dont worry about stats or publicity

the crime rate was zero and he put more people in jail than all 3 of the other officers and the state police helped patrol the city and helped them in the county and the people liked it then he was hired as chief of ferguson then their crime rate went down and the ksp went with him then ksp was like getting 100.000 in free law enforcement burnside benefited and then ferguson benefited good law enforcement should not have boundaries we all pay their salaries with our taxes county or city stop the crime

Daily Horoscope for December 7

Leo

If there have been slight tensions or frictions between you and a loved one recently, this is the perfect day to get them out into the open, thrash them out and then forget about them. Things could get quite heated in the process but don't worry because they'll work out all right in the end. Put as much energy into kissing and making up as you did in arguing!
