WOW!! An incentive to give a pay raise and they wonder why their policemen leave for a better paying location. Putting your life on the line for $13 an hour. I am not surprised...GIVE THEM THE MONEY!!

were not getting much for the money. if anything they should get less or better yet we should use that raise they want and train monkeys that way theres no excuse for them sleeping on the job or poking there b%$ts

It's racism. The reason that local police departments don't pay a lot (including El Paso PD, which pays about $6000 to $8000 a year less than any other comparable police dept in Texas) is because they know that they have a stable source of people (Hispanics) who won't leave the area because their families live here. It's our local municipalities taking advantage of what I consider to be a positive trait--family values.
