Suspected bank robber arrested at Surf City motel
The Onslow County Sheriff's Office arrested a suspected bank robber in Surf City Thursday around 5:30 p.m., according to a spokesperson with the sheriff's office.
Bank robbery suspect in custody
David Allen Sharlow, 39, of Rocksboro, and Kimberly Dawn Pleasant were both taken into custody in Pender County less than four hours after the First Citizens Bank in Sneads Ferry was robbed, Onslow County Sheriff Ed Brown said.

Investigators say the white man shown in a surveillance photo wearing a dark-colored Adidas sweatshirt, a black cap and sunglasses robbed the First Citizens Bank at about 12:55 p.m. Deputies say he left in a dark-colored SUV.
