Second 'Rock the Block' to benefit Bousema family
Rock the Block is back.
The outdoor Christian music festival featuring area bands, food, a children's carnival and much more will be next Wednesday, June 11, beginning around 5:00 p.m. on the streets around the American Reformed Church in Hull.
Last year's event was a fundraiser for the Lindsey Mesman family. The proceeds from this year's Rock the Block will go to the Justin Bousema family to help with medical bills.
"Last year Justin had so much fun organizing Rock the Block and we had started to discuss the event again this year when he was sick," explained Joy Hurst, a member of the committee. "We wanted to do it again, as a tribute to him, since it was his idea."
