Celebrating Limon's 100th birthday with Heritage Festival, August 1

You still have time to make plans to help the Town of Limon and Museum volunteers celebrate 100 years of history on Saturday, August 1. Visitors are invited to one of Limon's biggest birthday festivities as the 18th Annual Heritage Day opens in the downtown Railroad Park, Depot, Exhibit Building, Town Hall and Festival Tents.

At least one person is dead after a fiery plane crash near the town of Kiowa on Thursday afternoon.

Plane crash kills 1 near Simla, Colo.

A pilot was killed in the crash of an aerobatic plane near Simla. Elbert County Coroner Sandy Graeff says the victim was burned in the crash around 12:55 p.m. Thursday, and it could be Monday or Tuesday before the victim is positively identified.
