SILVER SPRINGS--An estimated 700 people from communities throughout Lyon County attended a free Flu Vaccination Clinic held at Silver Stage Middle School, which was provided by Carson City Health and Human Services in partnership with Lyon County services.

Commission allows deputies to continue to use Silver Springs shooting range

Lyon County Sheriff's deputies can continue to use their shooting range facility near 9th Street in Silver Springs, despite protests from a handful of nearby residents, and after the Lyon County Board of Commissioners voted at its October 15 meeting to allow the Sheriff's Department to continue to use the facility.

Hi everyone. The 50s Sock Hop at the SSSC was a great success" lots of fun. The 50s music was non-stop and made us all feel good; and for those who were able, we got a clear reminder of the fun it was to Jitterbug, Twist and, of course, slow dance to the likes of Johnny Mathis, etc.
