A group of members of the Silver Springs Mutual Water Company, charging that the water company does not operate as legally required for a cooperative, have formed an association and are considering filing complaints against the water company with state agencies or in District Court.

King sentencing delayed after motion filed
Sentencing for Alexander Steven King, who had pleaded guilty to first degree murder charges in the shooting death of a Silver Springs man in January of 2011, was delayed last week after King filed a motion seeking to dismiss his counsel and withdraw his guilty plea.
