Election officials say they're confident Maryland's voting system is secure

With early voting underway in Maryland for the Nov. 6 election, state and federal authorities say they're confident the voting system is well fortified against ongoing cyber threats from foreign nations. And state officials pledge that voters won't face that same woes that tarnished the June primary, when updated registration records of 72,000 voters were not transmitted by the Motor Vehicle Administration to the state elections board.
