WNMU women fall in tourney

The Western New Mexico University women's basketball team had a three-point lead, 40-37, at half versus Bemidji State Saturday afternoon at the Grand Canyon University Crowne Plaza Thanksgiving Classic, but the Beavers shot 44.8 percent in the second half to run away with the 79-65 victory.

The Gila National Forest Luna Work Center in Luna will be closed through Wednesday and open Thursday and Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. During the period that the Luna office is closed, visitor information can be obtained at the Quemado and Reserve Ranger District offices in New Mexico and the Alpine Ranger District in Alpine, Ariz.

Deer visit neighborhoods in search of food
