Sidney campus of WNCC breaks ground for student housing tomorrow
A groundbreaking ceremony for two student housing structures will take place at Western Nebraska Community College's Sidney campus on WEdnesday at 3 p.m. According to Sidney Campus Director Paula Abbott, the new structures will house up to 24 students to help alleviate a housing shortage in the Sidney area.

Larry Martinez, 54, of Sidney was convicted Thursday by jury in Cheyenne County District Court for the 2012 death of Mandy Kershman, 30. In July 2012, Martinez claimed he had become angry after receiving a text message from the victim.
