Camden County tax preparer charged with filing false tax returns in Philadelphia

A Sicklerville man was charged Thursday with aiding in the preparing and filing of false tax returns while working as a tax preparer in Philadelphia, according to the United States Attorney's Office in Pennsylvania. Atticus Rice, 51, was employed as a tax return preparer at Quick Taxes and Payroll Services on Pulaski Avenue in Philadelphia.

Home health aide accused of stealing jewelry from man, 82

EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP - A home health aide accused last month of stealing jewelry from an 82-year-old South Jersey man is now being sought for making unauthorized withdrawals from his bank account, authorities said. Lisa Johnson, 50, of Sicklerville swiped the victim's ATM card and took a total of $2,000 from his account during four early August transactions, Egg Harbor Township police said.

Pedestrian killed trying to cross White Horse Pike in Winslow Township

A Hammonton man was struck by a car and killed as he crossed the White Horse Pike on foot Saturday night, police said. Nidira Moore, 18, of Sicklerville, was driving westbound on the White Horse Pike near Bennett Way shortly before 8 p.m. when she struck Salvador Guzman, 42, who was walking from the westbound shoulder and attempting to cross the roadway, police said.
