Public safety: Two reported missing after fire
KANSAS CITY | Kansas City police are asking the public's help in finding two missing persons last seen about the time a February arson fire destroyed the house where they were staying.
Jonnie M. Rogers, 43, is described as 5-foot-4 and 180 pounds with brown hair and eyes. She may be driving a black 2001 Infiniti, police said. Steven L. Turner, 48, is described as 5-foot-7 and 145 pounds with brown hair and eyes.
The fire destroyed a house at 5628 College Ave. around the last time they were heard from, police said. Both families say it is unusual not to hear from Rogers and Turner, police said. Read more

Carbon monoxide injures 3 at power plant
Three workers at an eastern Jackson County power plant were taken to the hospital today after becoming sick from carbon-monoxide exposure.
The Fort Osage fire department was called to an Aquila power plant in Sibley just before noon. The workers had been working on a pipe in a lower pit area when they fell ill.
