The demand for natural gas continues to rise, and producers continue to target deep rock formations in Wyoming for more supply.

Snow and wind caused several crashes and the closure of multiple roads in eastern and southern Wyoming on Monday, the Wyoming Highway Patrol said.

Interstate 80 in both directions between Laramie and Rawlins was to remain closed until Tuesday morning, the patrol said. Westbound lanes from Laramie to Cheyenne were also closed for part of the day Monday.

The patrol said at least 25 vehicles were involved in crashes on eastbound and westbound lanes of I-80 near the Saratoga Interchange. No serious injuries were reported. Read more
