Southern Indiana man drowns in floodwaters
Police say an elderly southern Indiana man has drowned after driving into floodwaters while he was on his way to a doctor's appointment.
The body of 85-year-old Woodrow W. Rogers of the Martin County town of Shoals was pulled from a flooded area near the Lost River about 40 miles south of Bloomington.
Police say Rogers left his home for a doctor's appointment late Monday morning but never arrived. His body was found Wednesday about 70 feet away from his car in 4 1/2 feet of water.
