In the County Judicial contest qualification meant everything.

I hope they will work to rid York City and York County of the illicit drugs and crime that are rampant there.

This is wonderful , we no longer have to hear about Lillie Belle. York has elected people of color and now things will change. Change we can all believe in has arrived. Ring the bells of freedom. Can I get an AMEN?

Congratulations!!!!!!!! To Kim Bracey and Chuck Patterson and to the two new council members Henry Nixon and Renee Nelson and also to the new schoolboard members Sandie Walker, Gary Calhoun and Margie Orr and the incumbent Beverly Atwater. What a victory for York.

Great....now a black democrat can share the blame that white democrats get for making York a Dump. A win-win for Republicans. Suckers...

when there is a shooting I want to see my mayor on the news on the scene demanding the commissioner of police to do something!

speaking of which I guess he should start looking for a new job......lol

I really do hope she has the sense to replace him, just put him down at his level to parking meter maid!

York has to put attitude first that starts by demanding common good actions between the people here.........for instance:

1) if someone boombox's to the point that it can be felt in someone's house that person should be able to call police one time, give police the license number and no matter what that person should be in court or agreeing to pay a $500 fine!

2) if someone throws trash to the ground and a citizen reports it that person should also receive a fine for simply throwing trash to the ground........you have to demand respect for the Earth!

3) do not turn your back on police give them whatever they want or need to do their job......on the flip side demand control and thorough follow up even on small crimes or demand their resignation!

Why do they have to bring up "COLOR".......... WHO CARES WHAT COLOR A PERSON IS???? My God this is the 20th Century.........Stop bringing up their "so-called RACE".

By the way, I am an educated white person and somebody better stop with the color of a person!!!!

sorry , nothing is going to change.. dream on. Its going to get alot worse before it gets better. You have to have the citizens stand up for their area! They wont do it!

At least when nothing really changes and the same old same old goes on , they cant be blaming those racist white Yorkers for all the problems .

It was nice to see that Chuck Patterson finally got his recognition . He is going to make a great judge and father figure for many men who never had a daddy to give them the discipline and guidance they needed .

It is a good thing that Brenner did not run for re-election. What has he accomplished in the past 8 years? Crime is at an all time high, the streets are in sad disrepair, layoffs are always a problem, taxes are continually being raised, yadda, yadda yadda. York is a poor city with a very low tax revenue income and therefore cannot operate as other larger cities do. Like most cities York's size, money is the main issue. There just isn't enough of it because of their poor tax base.

If the Democrats in this county weren't so racist, the distinction of York's first black mayor would have gone to Ray Crenshaw, who deserved it eight years ago, instead of lilly white John Brenner.

The county Republicans, on the other hand just elected Chuck Patterson because he was very well qualified. Race had nothing to do with it.

Now, which party is the racist one?
