Jazz festival hit many high notes
Tonight's performance by Sheffield native Jennifer Hartswick at FlynnSpace concludes the 26th annual Burlington Discover Jazz Festival, which has ruled the city for more than a week with big-name headliners at the Flynn Center and lesser-known talented musicians getting it done on Church Street or in downtown's hopping clubs.
The musical career of Jennifer Hartswick was go, go, go for the longest time. She studied music at the prestigious Hartt School at the University of Hartford, was tabbed by Vermont guitar hero Trey Anastasio to tour with him while his band Phish was on hiatus and was getting serious attention for her own career as a trumpet player and vocalist.
