Commission wants home to be national landmark
OXFORD - The Oxford Historic Preservation Commission wants the 165-year-old antebellum Shaw House registered as a national landmark so someone will buy and restore it.

Anthony Gibson made Shaw chief of police
Anthony Gibson is the new chief of police in Shaw. The former police chief of Rosedale and Drew he has been involved with law enforcement since 1994 and graduated from Delta State University in 2005 with a criminal justice degree.
