Enfield Firefighters Describe 9/11 Memorial Garden
Firefighters from Enfield Fire District 1 on Monday presented the town council with plans for a 9/11 memorial garden to be dedicated Sept. 11.
Firefighter David Ragion told the council that the department began working on the memorial about two years ago and was inspired by dancers from Rileys' Dance Studio. The dancers have been doing shows on 9/11 and donating the money raised to the department.
The department decided to build a memorial and came up with the garden in front of its Weymouth Road fire station, Ragion said.
