Beckley council receives petition in favor of new dog park

Petitions with nearly 2,000 signatures of citizens in favor of an off-leash dog park were presented to Beckley Common Council Tuesday evening by members of the Beckley Area Recreation for Canines Planning and Advisory Committee .

Bunch of Bull

All we need is a bunch of dogs running around without their leash. Then when someone's dog gets killed by another dog, we will see a lawsuit. This is crazy.

Fable for Tomorrow

Dog parks can be found all over this country. By all means the particulars have to be worked out, but a dog park is overdue in the Beckley area. Look at the success of the investment in Freedom and Word Parks and Thornhill Courts. Kudos and good luck to this committee with all the work ahead to make this project a reality.
